Shooting stars over trees in Provence

August 25, 2011

August is the best time in France to see shooting stars. When taking night images in Provence, I was lucky to get one over a Tilleul (Tilia) and another one along an apple tree.  They left a long white line on the picture to bring good luck.

  1. Wow…beautiful! I love your posts…and your photos! We can also see shooting stars over the Long Island Sound from our top deck at night. The Sound leads out to the Atlantic Ocean, and we have a wide expanse of sky above us and the water to watch the stars. So thrilling when you see a shooting one!
